We can provide notary public services as well as giving advice on having documents legalised (apostille) at the foreign & commonwealth office. Notary services include:
We can deal with checking original documents and then producing certified copies. (Please note that there are certain documents which we cannot certify as true copies such as documents from the UK Registrar of Births Deaths and Marriages and Degree certificates from foreign educational institutions), Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
In some cases it is necessary for a notary public to sign to confirm that a person signed the deed. This may include the likes of Statutory Declarations, Affidavits, Powers of Attorney etc. Again please contact us for information. The Notary will check the identity of the person signing and then confirm that the document was signed by that person in front of the Notary.
Having an Apostille added (having a deed legalised) is often needed when a document needs to be sent abroad (mainly if outside the USA and Commonwealth countries). First of all the deed needs to be witnessed or signed by the Notary Public and then it needs to be sent to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office so the document can be legalised.*
